On 7 September, Association Rural Development for Future Georgia (RDFG), under the ongoing RDFG Employment Programme in Tetritskaro Municipality, organised second on-site visit for large employers from Kvemo Karlti region from the following organisations: Jibe Cash and Carry, HR partners, UGT, Tegeta Motors, Credo Bank, Qebuli Climate and Baumarket network. The visit aimed to present RDFG Employment Programme implemented under the support of the EU ENPARD project “Rural Development for Sustainable Growth of Tetritskaro Municipality” to the participant companies, strengthen the cooperation between RDFG Employment Programme and large employers of Kvemo Kartli region, meet the employment Programme beneficiaries and visit the cultural sights of Tetritskaro municipality.
The event was the preparation phase of the regional job fair that will be held in September. During the visit 5 big participant companies became acquainted with the needs of local population and discussed the available employment opportunities and challenges in the region and upcoming regional job fair with the representatives from Association Rural Development for Future Georgia and employment department of Social Service Agency and set up a strategy for future cooperation.
“For the effectiveness of the upcoming job fair we need to define participant employers’ expectations and needs, and this visit that was organised second time in Tetritskaro municipality serves this purpose. The new ideas and initiatives we received from employers during the meeting will be considered in our Job Fair preparation process.” – stated the employer relations coordinator of employment department of Social Service Agency, Ia Phkhakadze.
Job fair will be held on 28 September 2018 and aims to connect job seekers with employers and give them the information about the available employment opportunities in the region.
“The employers in the regions have difficulties reaching potential employees and RDFG Employment Programme makes this process easier for us.” – stated Cash and Carry HR manager, Marika Jinjolava.
Employment Programme implemented by the Association Rural Development for Future Georgia (RDFG) with the EU support, is an innovative model based on European methodology. The programme helps the social and labour inclusion, career planning and the development of the necessary employability skills of the local job seekers.
RDFG is currently implementing the second phase of the Employment Programme. In total, 10 phases will be implemented under the project. Registration for the next phase of the programme is open and interested candidates can send their applications.
The Employment Shuttle methodology was originally launched by „Action Against Hunger“Spain as the VIVES Emplea program, and was introduced in Georgia within the framework of LIFE Georgia Project with the financial support of the European Union.
The programme is implemented by Association Rural Development for Future Georgia (RDFG) with the financial support of the European Union, under the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development in Georgia – ENPARD project “Rural Development for Sustainable Growth of Tetritskaro Municipality”.
ENPARD II uses a LEADER approach to economic development. Fundamentally, it is the energy and resources of the local people that contribute to the rural development process by forming partnerships at a sub-regional level between the public, private and civil sectors. The LEADER approach is associated with local empowerment through local strategy development and resource allocation. The main tool for the application of the LEADER approach to area development and involving local representatives in decision-making is the Local Action Group (LAG).
The project partners are Agro-Technology Association (ATA), Lithuanian Local Action Groups Network and the Ministry of Agriculture of Lithuania.
