Closing ceremony of the first stage of the “RDFG” Employment Program – ”Employment Shuttle”

On January 27, Association “Rural Development for Future Georgia” (“RDFG”) celebrated the first stage completion of the employment program within the framework of the LIFE Georgia project and awarded twenty successful participants with certificates. The mentioned project has been implemented by the organizations consortium in two regions of Georgia (Shida Kartli and Samegrelo) with the EU financial assistance.

Unemployed local and internally displaced population aged 18-45 years were involved in the Employment Program who are in need of self-fulfillment in the labour market and development for job search techniques, such as CV and a cover letter writing, team and individual work, emotion management, developing self-presentation, negotiation and listening skills.

The first stage of the program was carried out in Gori  during five months at ”RDFG” Karaleti Community Centre and at Democratic Involvement Centre. It should be noted that through the Employment Program new group of twenty people will still be retrained from the 1st of March during five months and similar to the previous group they will be able to develop and better express their capacity.

Association ”RDFG” Chairman Vano Grigolashvili declares that the mentioned program initially started in Spain was successfully implemented by the ACF (Action Against Hunger) in the framework of the VIVES project, and ”Rural Development for Future” as always shares the best European practices and is ready to implement innovative pilot projects.

”RDFG“ Employment Program Facilitator Lela Maisuradze notes that the participants showed high motivation. They formed as a group with common purposes and well-absorbed the necessary tools for job search. Eight beneficiaries have already been successfully employed at the moment of the program completion for their desired positions in companies, such as “Smart,” “Bank of Georgia,“ “Galaxy” and etc. It is noteworthy that for some of them it is their first work experience and four participants are returned to the learning process.
